Chief Richard Kane Exeter Police Department and Rockingham County Attorney James Reams announced the guilty plea of an Epping man in regards to Dispensing Controlled Drug - Death Resulting.

On August 1, 2011 Lorent Diosi age 27 of Epping pled guilty to Dispensing Controlled Drugs Death Resulting at Rockingham County Superior Court. The plea is a capped plea of 10-20 years in the NH State Prison.  A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for October 7, 2011 at 9:00 am in superior court. Prior to the hearing a pre-sentencing investigation will be conducted by the department of corrections.

The case involved the death of Danielle Rock age 26 who was found unresponsive at her home on October 3, 2010 while living in Exeter. The case was investigated by Captain William Shupe and detectives from the Exeter Police Department that ultimately took investigators to California to obtain evidence in the investigation. Assistant County Attorney Brian Lee is the prosecutor in this case. County Attorney Jim Reams and his office will be asking the court to impose the sentence of 10-20 years at the hearing in October.

Attorney Reams and Attorney Lee have prosecuted these types of cases before and understand the complexity of investigating these types of incidents. Reams stated "that Exeter Police should be congratulated for their work on this case in bringing it to a successful conclusion."

The victim, Danielle Rock, leaves behind a family of a young daughter a husband, parents and siblings.  According to Kane a message has to be sent to those who sell illegal drugs that they will be held criminally liable for their actions and need to be accountable for the devastation that is caused to the family.
