>MISSION STATEMENT
>ORGANIZATION Welcome to the website of the Exeter Police Department.  We are a full-time
>PATROL DIVISION police agency located in the seacoast region of New Hampshire consisting of 24
>STAFF DIVISION full-time sworn officers and handling approximatelty 20,000 calls for service a
>PROSECUTION year.  The Town of Exeter is made up of a diverse population of about 15,000

>DIRECTIONS Chief Kane began his career in law enforcement at the Exeter Police Department
in 1981.  He rose rapidly through the ranks holding every position within the
agency.  In 1999, he was appointed the Chief of Police.  As a long-time town
resident, he enjoys serving the town which he and his family calls home.  Chief
Kane is active in the Exeter community as a member of the Knights of Columbus
  and as a long-time coach for Exeter Seahawks football.  He is a member of the
  International Association of Chiefs of Police, the Rockingham County Chief's
  Association, and the FBI National Academy Association.  He serves as the
  president of the Seacoast Emergency Response Team and is a member of the Red
  Cross Heroes search committee.  Chief Kane holds a bachelors degree in business
  management, is a 1991 graduate of the Babson College Command Institute, and is
  a 1996 graduate of the FBI National Academy.  He has attended numerous in- and
  out-of-state trainings on anti-terrorism and is Level 4 certified in Homeland
  Security as well as being a member of the American College of Forensic Examiners.
